Your resources are wonderful Britni, and hopefully they will encourage young families to get back to the basics as your family is doing. There is an enjoyable book by Carla Emery titled “Old Fashioned Recipe Book” that a sweet friend gave me for a birthday present way back in the early 70’s. It’s an encyclopedia of country living- from growing veggies to buying land- and much more! I don’t know if it is still in print, but if you can find it- the contents are still relevant and the author is adorable.

Thanks Pam! It looks like the book you mentioned is available at Amazon in a newer edition. I’m going to add it to my list of books to read. Below is a link for anyone who is interested :)
