Hello, I’m Britni. I am a wife to a wonderful husband and a mother of two beautiful children. I currently work full-time outside of my home but long for the day when I can leave behind the daily commute to my cubicle and dig my hands into the warm earth. I enjoy cooking, gardening, reading and spending quality time with my family. Our family gave up trying to keep up with the Joneses years ago and have never been happier! Join us on our journey as we try to build “our eventual homestead’.

Hi! I am SO enjoying your blog. No ill-intentions to SAHM’s but it is SO nice to find a fellow full-time mom with a job outside the home trying to make their way in the world of homesteading and sustainability. I’ve found so many blogs that are great but so much that they “blog” about is difficult for a full-time, working (outside the home) Mama to do. Thanks for your blog and keep it up! LOVE it!
Mindy – thank you so much for the kind words, they mean a lot! I’m always trying to remind myself that I can’t do everything. I too find great blogs but have trouble finding the time to do all the projects they mention. We just have to remember it is all about balance. Do a little at a time toward our homestead and self-sufficiency, eventually we’ll get there
