Wow! We have been busy these last few weeks! Between raising two kiddos, working full time, assisting my husband with his business, and getting the garden planted we’ve barely had time to eat and sleep! But I have to admit I enjoy being busy. I find a great deal of pleasure in being productive and getting things done. That said, I could really use a nap
One goal I had this year was to expand the garden and plant even more fruits and veggies as part of our overall goal of becoming more self-sufficient. Here is what we have planted on the property:
- Apples – Arkansas Black
- Apples – Honeycrisp
- Mulberries
- Black Raspberries
- Red Raspberries
- Blackberries
- Kiwis
- Yellow Bell Peppers
- Red Bell Peppers
- Jalapenos
- Cayenne Peppers
- Habanero Peppers
- Banana Peppers
- Cucumbers
- Tomatoes - 5 varieties including Early Girl, Roma, Cherry, Yellow and Purple!
- Lettuce
- Kale
- Spinach
- Summer Squash
- Strawberries
- Swiss Chard
- Garlic
- Zucchini
- Basil
- Thyme
- Sage
- Chives
- Rosemary
- Lavender
I guess I didn’t realize just how much we had planted until I wrote it out in list form! Wow! I’m looking forward to harvest time! I’ll be sure to post photos in an upcoming post.
